The Domaine Vinet is a family winery located in the Val de Loire, near the Atlantic ocean, in Nantes’ vineyards. It has been created in 1948 by Gustave Vinet with 4ha of vines. It has grown step by step and in 1981 his son Gérard took back the domain, of 8 ha, and continues perpetuating the family dynamism. His brother, Daniel, joined him in 1985 and so did his wife, Laurence, in 1990.
Nowadays, Laurence & Gérard are exploiting 55 ha of vines on two different lands, La Haye Fouassière and Château Thébaud in the very heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation.
Our works’ philosophy is based first of all on the quality of our soils, we adapt our work to the wine plot, according different to terroirs. So that, each of our wine develops its identity and spirit. Moreover, we are working in an environmental logic, which daily means practicing a controlled natural grass cover, work of the soil, in a reasoned agriculture method.
Our know-how and experience allow us to mix tradition and modern techniques concerning the work done in the vines and in the cellar. The bottling process is done internally at the domain, the bottles are then stored in proper conditioned cellars.
We export 90% of our wines worldwide: to Europe, to the United States and to Asia. We also sell 10% of our production in France to individuals, wine merchants and restaurants.
Our work is rigorous and the passion for our job allows us to offer a unique range of Muscadet.
